What We Do
Connections partners Jewish high school students with after school programs in underserved communities. Students travel regularly to community centers to provide free tutoring to K-8 students. We are currently partnered with 3 organizations in the Bronx and Manhattan, which serve over 3,000 students.

By the Numbers
Projections for People Served Monthly
Number of Tutors: 40
Number of Students: 120
Partners
Our first organization partner was the Williamsbridge Oval Recreation Center, where we started our program. Soon we partnered with the Mosholu Montefiore Community Center, which has over 3,000 students in afterschool programs across New York City, and have just partnered with St. John’s Rec Center in Crown Heights.
How it Works
We provide transportation for our tutors to and from the community center/afterschool program. At the end of the program, we provide tutors with certificates of community service. Our tutors are proficient to help in all subjects for K-8 students.
Tutoring Hubs
We started in our debut year with two tutoring hubs. So far we’ve opened an additional tutoring hub in Crown Heights, and are in the process of opening several more.
